Hi my name is Dean Vale, My father Ray Vale spent many years racing in various forms of motorsport including short circuit Hot Rod racing which brings me to the main reason for this website, in 1973 my dad had built a Mk1 Escort hot rod to race on many of the famous ovals at the time including Ipswich, Wimbledon & Aldershot to name a few. He was looking for a sponsor and while chatting to a customer in the garage where he worked one day it turned out he lived next door to John Coghlan the drummer from STATUS QUO ! He spoke to John and the  Quo car was born!

34 Years have passed and the Quo car has now been Reborn the only difference is that the car is now "road legal" other than that the car is an exact replica of the original even down to the old 01 telephone numbers and hand brushed sign writing instead of the modern vinyl sign writing used today!

This project was started in May 2005 and finished in May 2007 . I would like to say a big thank you to my Dad, without his massive help, support and memories of the original car this project would not have been possible. Also John and Gillie Coghlan for their support on various projects since completing the car, Status Quo for allowing the album titles to be put back on the car and also Premier Percussion.

One last thank you to the ladies in my life, my wife Kate and my mum Jackie for your continued support when we go to shows, gigs etc......

I hope you enjoy looking around my site, click on the various pages above to see pics of the original quo car, the replica quo car, and also find out where you can see the car next on the "dates for your diary " page.

Please feel free to leave a message or ask any questions on my forum.

The car is avaliable for shows, gigs or other functions feel free to contact me via my Forum.
